(no subject)

Yes I am once again ready to head on a voyage. I plan to leave on the 2nd and head up the east coast to RI. West palm beach to Newport is about 1200 miles and with unpredictable east coast weather you never know what you're gonna get. So my plan is to ride the gulf stream, and keep en eye on the cold fronts, venturing no more then 150NM offshore. Sundowner has been at anchor for almost 18 months prior to the last voyage and there is just too many issues for a safe offshore passage.

I am rushing to mail out all the bills, deposit any checks and finish any other errands that need to be done. Also trying to figure out what to pack. Checking the weather every few hours. So far it looks good all the way to Cape Hatteras. Before these kinds of journeys I get so superstitious, I even had to make sure I spelled the name correctly before I posted this entry. God forbid, don't wanna disrespect the all mighty Cape Hatteras. Weather looks good for FL and all the way to the Cape. Thats about as far as I will plan it. Tropical prediction center just gave me the best news of all. No Tropical Lows(hurricanes) in the next 7 days!!
Seems like everything is falling into place and the weather and ocean gods have given me a green light.
