Captains Log 05/21/07

South Caicos

Today we spent a day in Cockburn Harbor South Caicos. I managed to find frozen 1 Gallon Bottles of water from Mrs. Jennings. It worked out great as frozen blocks will last far more than crushed ice. Meanwhile we ran into the customs guy and checked out. We also had few beers at a local bar. On the way back I taught to try and find some meat or ham at least. At the grocery store I almost puked after opening the freezer section. There were frozen, by now black pig feet, some frosty black ribs, god only knows low long they were in there, and other similar items. No sandwich meat or anything close to it. Oh well, cans it is, at least until Luperon. I have no idea what these people eat but I am glad we are out of here. It doesn't even make sense to go to a restaurant. That evening, crystal made some beans and franks and they were pretty good. It was pretty calm in the harbor that evening and we rested very well in preparation for tommorow's departure.
